How do I manage my subscription on iOS and Web?

iOS: Open the Dream Machine app, or navigate to http://dream-machine.lumalabs.ai/, tap your profile picture in the bottom left corner, then navigate to the Subscription tab just below your username. Tap the lightning icon labeled "Upgrade" to view the available plans (if on iOS). If you are using web, simply press the "manage subscription" or "upgrade" buttons. Here, you can:

  • Upgrade or change your plan by selecting a different tier.

  • Cancel your subscription using the button at the bottom of the screen.

  • See how much time remains on your current plan if you choose to cancel early.

  • You can also view your current credit balance and the date when your credits will refresh each month.


How do I change the subscription on my current account?

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription directly from the app or web:

  • In the App: Tap your profile picture in the bottom-left corner, navigate to Subscription, and tap the lightning icon to view or change plans.

  • On the Web: Log in to your account, click your bottom left profile photo, and select Manage Subscription to make changes.

All subscription changes take effect immediately if upgrading, or at the end of your billing cycle if downgrading.


What are the subscription tiers and credit allowances for web platform?

Dream Machine offers four web subscription plans:

Web Monthly Plans:

  • Free: Limited usage, non-commercial use only, lower priority in the generation queue.

  • Lite ($9.99 USD/month): Includes [3,200 credits per month], high-priority generations, non-commercial use only.

  • Plus ($29.99 USD/month): Includes [10,000 credits per month], high-priority generations, commercial usage allowed, no watermark.

  • Unlimited ($94.99 USD/month): Includes [10,000 credits per month for fast mode], unlimited relaxed generations, highest priority, commercial use allowed, no watermark.

Web Yearly Plans (Discounted):

  • Lite ($83.92 USD/year): Equivalent to $6.99/month, includes 3,200 credits per month.

  • Plus ($251.92 USD/year): Equivalent to $20.99/month, includes 10,000 credits per month.

  • Unlimited ($797.92 USD/year): Equivalent to $66.49/month, includes 10,000 credits per month for fast mode, unlimited relaxed generations.

  • Enterprise ($1,679.92 USD/month): Includes 10,000 credits per month for fast mode, unlimited relaxed generations, highest priority, commercial use allowed, no watermark and Enterprise terms, including no training on input or output data.

All prices are in USD and do not convert to other currencies.

How do credits work, and how are they used?

Credits are the currency used for generating images and videos in Dream Machine.

  • Each image generation costs 4 credit, and images are generated in batches of four, costing 16 credits per batch.

  • Each video generation costs 80 credits, and two videos are generated by default, costing 160 credits per video set.

Your credit balance refreshes every month based on your subscription plan:

  • Lite: 3,200 credits/month

  • Plus: 10,000 credits/month

  • Pro: 10,000 credits/month

  • Enterprise: 10,000 credits/month

Unused credits do not roll over to the next month.


What payment methods are supported?

On iOS, payments are processed through Apple’s in-app purchase system. You can use any payment method linked to your Apple ID, including:

  • Credit/debit cards

  • Apple Pay

  • Other payment methods supported by Apple.

On Web, payments are processed through Stripe Checkout. You can use any of the following payment methods supported by Stripe:

  • Credit/debit cards

  • Bank payments

  • Cash App Pay

Stripe provides a secure and flexible checkout experience for all web-based transactions.


Why was my payment declined?

Common reasons for declined payments include:

  • Insufficient funds in your linked account.

  • Your payment method is not up-to-date (e.g., expired card).

  • Connectivity issues with Apple’s in-app purchase system (if using the iOS app).

To resolve the issue, update your payment method in your Apple ID settings, ensure your card is valid, and try again. For further assistance, contact Apple Support if on iOS, or Stripe support if you are on web.


How do I request a refund?

Refunds for iOS subscriptions are handled through Apple Support. To request a refund:

  • Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.

  • Locate the purchase you want a refund for.

  • Select the item, choose a reason for the refund, and submit your request.

  • Apple will review your request and notify you of the decision.


Refunds for web subscriptions are handled via Luma. To request a refund on web:

You can request a full or partial refund for any subscription tier within 30 days of its initiation or renewal by contacting us at support+web@lumalabs.ai.

The plan must be unused or mostly unused, please note that your subscription will be terminated once the refund is processed.

If you accidentally signed up for the wrong plan (e.g., annual instead of monthly), we can switch you to the correct plan and refund the price difference.


Can I change my subscription tier mid-cycle?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan anytime directly in the app:

  • Tap your profile picture in the bottom left corner of the Dream Machine app.

  • Go to the Subscription tab and tap the lightning icon (if on iOS) or the button labeled "Upgrade" (if on web).

  • Choose the new plan you want.

If you upgrade, the new plan takes effect immediately, and you will be charged a prorated amount based on the time remaining in your current billing cycle.

If you downgrade, the change will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and you will retain access to your current plan until then.


When do my credits refresh, and how can I check my balance?

Your credits refresh on the same date each month based on your subscription start date. To check your current credit balance:

  • Tap your profile picture in the Dream Machine app.

  • Go to the Credits section, where you can view your remaining credits and the date of the next refresh.

If you run out of credits before the refresh date, you can upgrade your plan for additional credits or wait for the monthly reset.


What happened to my old Dream Machine account, payment plan, & generations?

  • Your old Dream Machine account, payment plan, and generations have been fully migrated to the newest version of Dream Machine. Here’s what you need to know:

    • Generations: All your previously created images and videos can now be found under the "Ideas" section of your account in the app or on the website.

    • Payment Plans: Your old subscription plan has been converted to the new credit-based system, matching the equivalent credit value of your previous plan. For example, if you had a higher-tier plan, you will now receive credits and benefits based on the equivalent Plus or Unlimited plan.

    • You can access everything as before, but with the new and improved tools offered by this updated version of Dream Machine.
