Expand your frame. Resize your world.

We just launched Reframe — a new way to take your Dream Machine generations beyond the borders! Whether you’re working with still images or video clips, Reframe lets you expand in any direction, resize for any platform, and bring back what was cropped out. It’s a powerful tool for reframing content or outpainting new visual context.

And yes, you can use your own uploads. Reframe works with both Luma-generated and external images or videos.

What You Can Do with Reframe

Outpaint still images

Extend any image—whether generated with Luma or uploaded from outside—beyond its edges. Reframe fills in the space with coherent, style-matched visuals.

Reframe and expand videos

Shift framing, widen or heighten the scene, and reformat for various platforms. You can reframe content into six different aspect ratios:

9:16, 3:4, 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, and 21:9.

Upload external content

You’re not limited to content made in Dream Machine. Upload any image or video (up to 30 seconds or 100 MB) and reframe it directly.

Recover lost framing

If your original was cropped too tight, Reframe can generate missing edges and re-balance the composition without needing a new render.

Where to Use Reframe

Available on:

• Web (via sidebar editor)
• iOS (in Ideas view → Upload)

Plans:

• Unlimited
• Enterprise

Output formats:

• Images: via Photon
• Videos: via Ray2 and Ray2 Flash

Video duration limits:

• Ray2: up to 10 seconds
• Ray2 Flash: up to 30 seconds

Audio support:

• Not currently supported (coming soon)
