# Start in Claude Motion. Finish it in Luma.

_October 8, 2026_

Claude Motion animations now open in Luma, where creators turn an idea in motion into video in any format.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Luma today announced that Claude Motion animations now open directly in Luma, ready for creators to expand, refine, and reframe to any asset output. Now creators can bring an animated explainer made in Claude into Luma via MCP connection to re-create in any format simply by telling the agent what they want. Claude Motion gets an idea moving, writing code that animates text, charts, shapes and images, and Luma makes that movement into a final video output.

Claude Motion, now in beta on Claude Team and Enterprise plans, helps you to explain your ideas better by adding motion. Claude builds an animation from your prompt, and it plays like a short video. Anthropic’s announcement highlighted that any customer can take Claude Motion further by opening it in Luma to create the look, the shots, and expanded versions that can play on every screen.

Claude Motion writes code that animates text, charts, shapes, and the images in it. Luma brings Ray and Uni video generation models to Claude Motion animations to help creators deliver final video files.

**How to use Claude Motion and Luma together:**

- Use Claude Motion to turn a prompt into an animated explainer, built from your own text, charts and images.
- Add the Luma connector in Claude.
- Your Claude Motion animation will appear in Luma as a video, so creators can pick up where they left off.
- Inside Luma you can restyle the look while the motion holds, and you can reframe it to 9:16, 1:1, 4:3 or 21:9, or ask the Luma agent to make additional versions.

Try it now in Claude.
